I’m making this blog because I am tired of people using their freedom of speech (something American men and women fought for) to try to take something American away. Recently a group in Massachusetts has tried to ban children from having to say the pledge of allegiance. Apparently it has no educational value, and they feel like the child should have a right whether to say the pledge or not. So we believe we should give the child a choice whether or not to say the pledge, yet we can’t give our child the choice whether or not he wants to go to school, what kind of food he wants to eat, whether or not he wants to take a shower. It never ceases to amaze me the things that people MAKE children do, and the things people believe children should have a choice on. The flag of the United States of America stands for freedom. Men and women have died for the freedoms that the flag supports, and yet Americans have problems pledging allegiance to a country they live in. I no longer believe that all gave some but some gave all. I now believe that some give all and others take all and give nothing. America needs to wake up and start to realize that there are people that are giving their lives for us and we should never forget that. We should not have any problems pledging to the flag in fact we should want to say the pledge.
I go to college where it is really important to be in class every day. If you don’t show up for class you aren’t the only one affected. I’m in culinary school and we work in groups. So if one of my group mates doesn’t show up for class then I’m screwed too. Not only does it affect me, it also affects them. Every day that they don’t show up to class there entire grade drops a whole letter. To say that the program is intense would be an understatement. Anyways I said all of that to say this…there are stupid people that I go to school with that skip class for no reason. So this girl in my group tells me today after she has been rambling on and on about how girls keep trying to get with her ass ugly boyfriend, that she isn’t going to come to class tomorrow because she’s going to a concert! Now yeah I understand the whole idea of skipping class to go to a concert, believe me I do, but the concert doesn’t start until two. We get out of class at one. You are really going to tell me that you couldn’t come to class for half the day??? I’m freaking in a group with you by myself! O and the best part is she is going to get an actual excuse so that she doesn’t lose as many points for the day. So the one affected…yeah that would be me. I am the only one in this situation that is going to be affected by her stupidity and yes I’m not going to lie I’m pissed! Then she had the nerve after she told me all of that to ask me if I minded. Are you serious? What if I say no are you going to not go to the concert? I seriously doubt it. So don’t even try to make yourself feel better about leaving me in a group by myself by asking me if I mind…Prime example of how people in today’s society are DUMB!
So I made this blog to talk about life, rant, who knows really. It will be different all the time. It will all depend on my mood, and believe me that changes daily, so I’m sure there will be a wide range of things that I will have to talk about! Whelp here goes!
